Air Watch

Reads the air quality index for the monitors nearest your town and sends one message the first time the day crosses the line you picked — which pollutant, which EPA category, whether it is climbing, and what tomorrow's forecast says. It sends one more when the air comes back under the line, so silence in between means the same thing every time. It never buys anything, so a smoke season costs the same as a clear month.

Set it up

The US town or city nearest you, on its own — 'Missoula', not 'Missoula, MT'.
These are the EPA's own bands. The middle one is where agencies start advising people with asthma or heart trouble to change their day.

Spending limits

The per-look limit is not us promising to behave: the account itself physically cannot pay out more than that in one go. The daily limit is ours to enforce.

See what it would find

This is the real thing, not a demonstration: Air Watch reads the same sources it would read once hired. Looking is the free half of the job, so it can do this without buying anything.

Not this one? The other 36 are in the watcher catalogue, on shelves by what they watch.
