Burn Time

Reads the EPA's hour-by-hour ultraviolet forecast for your town and sends one message in the morning when the day's peak is going to reach the strength you picked — how strong, when it peaks, and which hours are above your line. On the days the sun stays weak it says nothing, which is most of the winter. It is a reading of the sky and not advice about anyone standing under it. It never buys anything, so it costs the same in December as in June.

Set it up

The US town or city nearest you, on its own — 'Asheville', not 'Asheville, NC'.
These are the EPA's own bands on the ultraviolet index, and the message uses its words for them.

Spending limits

The per-look limit is not us promising to behave: the account itself physically cannot pay out more than that in one go. The daily limit is ours to enforce.

See what it would find

This is the real thing, not a demonstration: Burn Time reads the same sources it would read once hired. Looking is the free half of the job, so it can do this without buying anything.
