Layoff Watch

Pick your state. Straight away it shows you the last three months of announced job cuts there — the employer, the site, how many and from when. Then it watches for the next one. In Texas it reads the state's own WARN notices, which every large employer has to file before a layoff, so the coverage there is close to complete. Everywhere else it reads the announcements listed companies make to the SEC, which is national but public companies only — and it says which of the two you are getting. It never buys anything.

Set it up

Texas is the only state whose own WARN notices this can read; elsewhere it falls back to what listed companies tell the SEC.
Applies to state WARN notices, which state a headcount. An SEC announcement usually does not, so those always come through.

Spending limits

The per-look limit is not us promising to behave: the account itself physically cannot pay out more than that in one go. The daily limit is ours to enforce.

See what it would find

This is the real thing, not a demonstration: Layoff Watch reads the same sources it would read once hired. Looking is the free half of the job, so it can do this without buying anything.
